*John hails from a background of musical appreciation. He is an avid record collector with a collection of over 7,000 albums. He also collects record players and other sporadic items of curiosity. He also list cooking as a serious hobby.
*After a stint in the U.S. Navy that took him around the world, and to six of the seven continents, John settled for a time in California. While soaking up the sun, he lived the Rock & Roll lifestyle.
*John left California and returned to Syracuse, NY in 1991 with only the clothes on his back and a 1976 Ibanez Bass. Soon, his cousins Illin' and Joe asked him to play Bass for them and the Born Again savages were formed...sort of.
*At the time, John's "rig" consisted of a speaker in a bucket and a half-blown amp.
*John credits many influences for his "Heavy Bottom" sound: Judas Priest, Soundgarden, Faith No More, Helmet, et.al. He appreciates the bizarre (Frank Zappa), the eclectic (Philip Glass/Yo-Yo Ma), the classics (many works), the bizarrely eclectic (Les Claypool/John Entwistle, Jaco Pastorious), and a list of others too long to print here.
*When not playing Bass, John runs his own ornamental metalworking business and enjoys spending time with his 3 year old son.
*After a five year hiatus, (Due to DEMON possession), John is happy to be back playing and writing with the band, and excited to be a part of the psychotic energy only the BORN AGAIN SAVAGES can create.
