NEW MUSIC FROM THE
SAVAGES
Born Again Savages, Syracuse's Clown Princes of Punk, are celebrating their 20th Anniversary.
As part of their celebration of two decades, they are working on a new retrospective CD release featuring five or six new recordings and some re-mastering of classic BAS favorites, as well as a few surpises!!!.
Beginning August 31, the Savages began recording at Mole Trax Studios under the experienced guidance of Jeff Moleski, who has worked with Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins, as well as Courtney Love, and many others.
The Savages' current line-up of vocalist: Tom Carpenter, bassist: John Thomas, Guitarist: Zadoc Angell, and drummer: Illin' were joined by original guitarist and founding member: Joe DiRienzo for the recording, as well as a live show opening for The Supersuckers at The Lost Horizon on Tuesday, Sept. 3.
Former Masters Of Reality guitarmeister supreme Tim Harrington is slated to mix the new material, making it his 5th time working with BAS, and the CD will be mastered by Jocko at Moore Sound.
There is still a lot of work to be done
getting everything "JUST RIGHT" for the anticipated, yet untitled release.
The songs came together in unbelievable ways. We are
definitely treading into some new ground that is alarming, thought
provoking, dangerous, creepy, weird, odd, and yet still entertaining.
Long-time fans of the Savages are going to be pleasantly surprised by
some of the new stuff. Also, many of you will be overjoyed to hear that
you will finally get a studio version of "HAPPY
PILL".
This will be one hot disc!!! The anticipated release is for late November, or early December, but you know how these things go! So,
